What to Look for Before Using Audiobook Services
If you are going to buy a player specifically for use with your audiobook services, then there are a few things which you need to consider and ensure that the player has, such as bookmarking and playback speed, for instance. Nobody reads a book in one sitting and therefore will not listen to an audiobook in full in one sitting either. This means that you need the ability to bookmark up to where you have listened so that you can just start listening from there the next time. Some players have a resume feature, which means that you do not have to manually bookmark your place. The ability to change the playback speed so that you can fast rewind or fast forward is also handy if you just want to do a quick recap. You also need to be able to delete files off of your device; otherwise your player or device will get too full.
